ContactSkin® is based on an ultra-thin (minute 0.03 mm), special membrane which resembles and is compatible with the skin. This is called the “artificial membrane”. Into this incredibly thin membrane, thousands of hairs are implanted by hand in an elaborate manufacturing process and which is based on the way hair grows naturally.
